Rambus Achieves 500th Patent Milestone
Los Altos, California - Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS), one of the world's premier technology licensing companies specializing in high-speed chip interfaces, announced that it has been granted its 500th patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and foreign patent offices. Rambus' growing patent portfolio includes fundamental inventions in the area of memory design, high-speed interfaces, package layout, and system design. One such invention recently awarded United States Patent 6,675,272 is used in Rambus' FlexPhase™ circuit technology. FlexPhase eliminates trace-length matching and corrects for timing mismatches in complex circuit designs, and was first demonstrated in Rambus' XDR™ memory architecture.
